Travelling

with your cat and moving home

Please remember that most parts of France get extremely hot in summer so take all necessary precautions when transporting your cat. Use window blinds, keep water available, and to keep the car as cool as possible when stationary park in the shade with the windows at least partially open. But never leave your pet in an unattended car in hot weather.

If you move a cat to a new house or apartment we recommend you keep it inside for at least two weeks so that it can become familiar with what is now ‘home’. As it cannot go out during this time you will need to provide your pet with a litter tray along with its food and water supplies. When you do let your cat out for the first few times, don’t feed it beforehand and then it will come back home for food.
